Lock Laces provide the best way to run worry free. After a simple set up, you'll never stress about your laces coming untied mid-run again. Here's why I can't recommend these enough.
Lock laces isn't looking to sell laces, but instead provide their customers with ease of mind that allows a focused run. Elastic laces aren't new, but Lock Laces has perfected the design, install process, and has some great color options - all in a sturdy, quality product.
I often run and workout in my adidas Alphabounces, so I used this pair for my first Lock Lace test. I chose the white color to fit with the white throughout the shoe, and here's a quick breakdown of the setup process.
1. Start with taking your current laces out of your shoes you want to put Lock Laces in.
2. Open your Lock Laces package, and there should be a set of laces, 2 lace locks, and 2 lace caps.
3. Lace em up! (there will be extra, don't worry!)
4. Slide the lace lock on by threading each side of the shoelace through the holes. (I knot-tied mine for measuring reasons)
5a. Cut off the laces at a good place, not too short but eyeball it for a length that won't get in the way. (I left mine longer for this demonstration)
5b. Place both ends of the laces into the open lace cover, and close it to lock in the ends.
5. Voila! You now have a pair of kicks ready to put on, slide your lock lace up and set that new distance pr! (I left mine loose for casual wear reasons)
Overall, Lock Laces offers superior products, that hold up in running and training, and are easy on the budget. On their site, you can get a 3 pack for ~$12, or a 5 pack for ~$18, plus you get to pick which colors you want. A truly customizable experience.
