Today, we get a look at the new Kobe Retro, the AS Huarache, learn about a JTH 3 re-release, and raise questions about a new billboard Jordan Brand has in LA.
1. Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Proto
It's.about.time. Featuring the same construction with updated cushioning technology, Kobe and Nike have created the Proto (performance + retro). In the original black/yellow colorway, Nike has improved the model with a modified Zoom-bag setup, and replacing old heavier parts with lighter pieces. Look for these to drop Feb 17th, on SNKRS and nike.com
2. Nike Air Huarache "All Star"
Continuing the DIY sneaker trend, Nike will give customers an option to customize their Huaraches with this all star drop. Featuring an all white upper, a zipper tongue, patches, and pins, you can draw or use stencils to add your own flair to these. Look for these to drop on Feb 15th.
3. Justin Timberlake Pop-Up Shop
On Feb 9th, (tomorrow) Justin Timberlake will open a pop-up shop in NYC to celebrate his album and corresponding merch. Among what will be available, is the JTH 3 that previously dropped during his Halftime show, and the Tinker Sample 3s, which don't officially drop until March 24th. I suggest you start calling your NYC plug.
4. Jordan LA Billboard - "Legend of the AJ1"
A new, mysterious billboard appeared in LA yesterday, and featured the word UNBANNED with part of it being covered by the AJ1 ankle strap. The website on the board ( UnbanTheLegend.com ) contains a clock that counts the days down until June 1st. It features a sign up option, so you may want to do that. Regardless, will we get a new AJ1, or a new documentary? Or something else completely different? Looks like we will have to wait and find out.
